For more than thirty-four years, Mary Magner has been at Hickory House Nursing Home. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Hospital School of Nursing and has also attended Immaculata College. She is a Certified Nursing Home Administrator through the American College of Health Care Administrators. Mary spent twenty-seven years both active duty and reserves in the Army Nurse Corp retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. Her military experience included working with POW returnees from Vietnam as well as many medical surgical duty assignments. She was also activated for Desert Storm. She is a graduate of the Officers Advanced Course and Army Command and General Staff College. With interest in complimentary medicine, Mary is certified in aroma therapy. She attends many continuing education courses on herbal therapies and other alternative modalities. Mary is a member of the El Badree Dance Troupe which specializes in Middle Eastern dance. They perform at retirement communities, nursing homes, and various conventions.
